Our story

Started in 2015 by Ross & Emily Cooper.

Ross and Emily Cooper founded Co-Op Leadership with a simple conviction: people grow faster when they don't grow alone.

Long-term success isn't only about finding an opportunity or making more money. It comes from becoming the kind of person who can create, lead, and sustain it. That takes mentorship, a standard to live up to, and people around you who are working just as hard.

So that is what we built: an environment where people develop the skills, mindset, relationships, and systems to create more freedom and opportunity in their lives.

Our philosophy

Results are downstream.

People often focus first on results: income, businesses, promotions, recognition, freedom. Sustainable results usually come after personal development. So we develop people first, in this order.

Leadership here doesn't mean having followers. It means taking responsibility, solving problems, helping other people grow, and producing results consistently.

  1. FIRSTPeopleCharacter, habits, and the willingness to learn.
  2. THENCompetenceSkills you can use, practised until they're reliable.
  3. THENLeadershipTaking responsibility for outcomes and for other people.
  4. THENResultsProduced consistently, because the foundation holds.
A core principle

Ownership comes first.

We encourage every member to take ownership of their life instead of waiting for circumstances to improve. Nobody is coming to build it for you, and that's good news. It means you can start now.

  • Your finances
  • Your decisions
  • Your habits
  • Your relationships
  • Your personal development
  • Your future
Culture

The standard matters.

These are the characteristics we work to develop in our members and expect from our leaders. Nobody arrives with all of them. Everyone here is working on them.

  • OwnershipTake responsibility for your finances, decisions, habits, and results. Don't wait for circumstances to change first.
  • IntegrityDo what you said you would do, the way you said you would do it. Trust is built in small, kept promises.
  • AccountabilityInvite people to check your progress, and accept honest feedback without making excuses.
  • Work ethicPut in consistent effort, especially when no one is watching and nothing is being celebrated.
  • PatienceReal growth compounds slowly. Measure your progress in years, and keep going in the weeks that feel flat.
  • CommitmentFollow through after the excitement wears off. That's where most of the growth happens.
  • ContributionHelp other people grow. The goal is to help the next person further than you were helped.
  • LoyaltyStand with the people who invested in you, and be someone others can count on.
  • GrowthStay teachable. The people furthest along here are often the ones asking the most questions.
  • LeadershipTake responsibility for outcomes and for people, and become someone others can learn from.
Who it's for

We don't need everyone. We're looking for people who want to grow.

Co-Op is a good fit if you…

  • Know you're capable of more and want structure, mentorship, and accountability.
  • Are an aspiring entrepreneur, a business owner, or a professional interested in building something of your own.
  • Want to grow as a leader, at work, at home, and in your community.
  • Are working toward greater financial independence.
  • Want to be around people who are intentional about where their life is going.

It probably isn't for you if you…

  • Are looking for quick money or a shortcut.
  • Want information without doing the work of applying it.
  • Aren't ready to be coached, or to be honest about where you are.
  • Want results without a standard to live up to.
